Job Position: Experienced/Senior Tax Accountant
Full-time position in CPA Firm adjacent to Beverly Hills. We are looking for an Experienced/Senior Tax Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, recommending, researching, and implementing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and multi-state business and individual tax returns, projections and quarterly estimates
- Meet with clients for tax interviews and tax input
- Train, mentor and provide work direction to junior team members
- Review and correct financial statements
- Respond to tax notices
- Research and recommend tax strategies for federal, state and local taxation issues
- Work closely with bookkeeping staff for proper recording of client transactions
- Review sales, payroll and income tax returns
- Respond to client phone calls
- Take ownership and organize the workflow of client engagements, ensuring filing deadlines are met
- Work extended hours as needed during tax seasons
- Perform various other tasks in a small but busy office
Qualifications:
- 4+ year’s experience with a public accounting firm required
- Oral and written communication skills. Fluent and articulate in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Learn new technologies
- Lacerte
- Understand GAAP and working knowledge of accounting principles and practices within the following industries: entertainment, film/tv production, real estate, wealth management, restaurant, medical and fashion.
- Financial statement analysis
- Business & individual income taxation
- Nonprofit & trust income taxation a plus
- Tax research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Online a Plus
- Handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Work is often fast‐paced, stressful, and requires managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- A willingness to work flexible hours is necessary. Some longer hours, as needed, especially during tax season will be required.

Job Position: Full Charge Bookkeeper
Full-time position in CPA Firm adjacent to Beverly Hills. Must be familiar with all aspects of accounting cycle including: receivables, payables, payroll, sales tax, reconciliation, journal entries, and the preparation of tax ready financial statements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple clients.
- Data entry and account analysis.
- Reconciliation of accounts including bank, credit card, payroll & sales tax liability, and other external client prepared/provided schedules.
- File payroll tax returns and/or coordination with various payroll services
- File sales tax returns
- File annual business licenses
- Prepare 1099s & W2s
- Respond to client phone calls
- Income tax preparation a plus
- Perform various other tasks around small but busy office
Qualifications:
- 3+ year’s bookkeeping experience required.
- Degree is a plus.
- Able to self-direct and solve problems. Learn new technologies.
- High proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop & Online (ProAdvisor Advisor certification a plus) and Excel is a must.
- Familiarity with the TV/Motion Picture Production Accounting would be helpful.
- Experience with CFS Payroll, Intuit payroll products, and Lacerte tax software would be helpful
- Understand accrual vs cash basis of accounting.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Job Position: Office Manager / Light Bookkeeper
Full-time position in CPA Firm adjacent to Beverly Hills. Must develop and maintain a welcoming office environment, and manage a small CPA Office. In addition to managing an office, the Office Manager/Bookkeeper must be familiar with some aspects of accounting cycle including: check deposits, vendor payments, bank/credit card reconciliations and journal entries.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and create a welcoming office environment.
- Provide excellent customer service on the telephone and in person.
- Answer the phone calls and open the mail.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Maintain office copier and staff computers.
- Update various clients lists, tax calendar and maintaining timesheet.
- Scan documents into appropriate folders.
- Assist in tax return preparation efforts including assembly, mailing and related.
- Some data entry and some account analysis.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Perform various other tasks in a small but busy office.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English.
- 2+ year’s experience in a CPA firm required.
- Associate degree in accounting a plus.
- Quickbooks desktop and online training a plus.
- Strong writing and editing skills, especially in correspondence.
- When technology is unfamiliar, you’re adept at learning it.
- Clear communicator, with the ability to deal effectively and tactfully, on the telephone, and in person.
- You’re an organized person; it’s in your blood.
- You’re social: you like knowing who is where, when.
- Attention to detail and a passion for accuracy, especially error‐free data entry.
- The ability to work with limited supervision and successfully within a team.
- The ability to resolve practical problems independently.
- Solid skills in word processing and Excel are a must.
